"हम भी किसी की खुशी में दीपक की तरह प्रकाश देकर उनकी खुशियों में शामिल हो यही हमारी सच्ची अरदास इन महान पर्वों की मूल भावना होंगी।" को रेखांकित करते बाल भवन जयपुर के बच्चों नेधनतेरस की शाम सेंट्रल जेल की महिला शाखा में उन बच्चों के साथ दीवाली की खुशिया बांटी जो बिनाकिसी कसूर के अपना अमूल्य बचपन चार दीवारी में बीता रहे हे.. बाल भवन जयपुर द्वारा पिछले आठ वर्षो से जयपुर सेंट्रल जेल की महिला शाखा में सजायाफ्तामहिलाओं के साथ रह रहे बच्चों के साथ दीपोत्सव दिवाली की खुशियों को बांटते रहे हे। इस अवसर परबाल भवन के बच्चों ने जेल परिसर में रह रहे बच्चों के साथ हास्य और रोमांच से भरपूर क्रियेटिव खेलखेलें, रंग-बिरंगे रंगों से मांडने बनाए, दीये जलाए, फुलझडी और अनारों की आतिशबाजी ने जेल परिसरको रोशन कर दिया। दीपोत्सव की खुशियों की चमक ने इन बच्चों के चेहरों को खिलखिलाहट से भरदिया, जो बाहर खुले आसमान में उड़ना चाहते हे। बाल भवन जयपुर की डायरेक्टर मिसेस चरण जीत ढिल्लों ने इस अवसर पर बाल भवन जयपुर केबच्चों को कहा की हमें समाज के उस वर्ग के प्रति सवेंदनशील होना होगा जो इन महान पर्वों की महानपरम्परा से सिर्फ इसलिए महरूम रह जाते हे की उनके पास वो साधन नही हे या हालात ने उनको दूर करदिया हे। बच्चों को हर तरह के लोगों की भावनाओं का सम्मान करने के लिए उनके बाल मन विचारों कोसवेंदनशील बनाना होंगा, आज के सवेदानाहीन होंते समाज के यह अति-आवश्यक हे।

stories and paintings.

1. Inauguration of Photo Exhibition provided by National Gandhi Museum, New Delhi.
2. Books for sale & exhibiton based on Mahatma Gandhi.

2nd session of the day - Painting Session :-
* Children expressed their fealings about “Bapu“ through paintings.

1st October, 2009 – 1st session of the day
Skits Presentation by school children:-
* “Prerak Gandhi“ skit by Brightlands Girls School.
* “Three Monkeys of Gandhi“ skit presented by special children from Disha School, Jaipur.
* A mime skit “Sarvdharm Gandhi“ presented by slum kids from Saaras Bal Kendra.
* “Asahyog Andolan“ presented by Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan Vidyashrm.
Discussion session:-
* Mr. Ranbir Singh - Theatre person & drama writer.
* Dr. H.C. Bhartiya – Retd. Professer from Rajasthan University & Scientiest.
2nd session of the day -

Discussion session - Writer & Formar Doordharshan Kendra Jaipur Diretor Mr. NandBhardwaj told small stories from Bapu’s life and answered children’s Questions.

Writing Session – Children expressed themseleves through poems and stories.

2nd October,2009 –

2nd session of the day - Creative Games

1. Children were first devided into four groups, names as
– Sabarmati, Dandi, Bapu, Mohandas Karmchand Gandhi.
2. Creative sport based on Gandhian values. With these games it was fun & easy
learning about co-operation & non-violation.

• Puzzla on Non-Violence.
• Banana Race based on co-opration.

Result –

In the three day Gandhi Festival, we were successful in creating a wholesome and engaging environment conducive to learning Gandhian values. Through drama, creative sports, music and a host of other activities, the children got an opportunity to understand and appreciate how Mahatma Gandhi's teachings affect all our lives in ways both small and great. We hope that even if the participants took back a few lessons from this gala event, it would go very far in entrenching the basic tenet of unity in diversity. The participating children are now in a position to understand how small efforts on each of our parts can ensure not only harmonious co-existence between diverse people, but also how each of us has a stake in the collective phenomenon of sustainable development. The children gave beautiful expression to their ideas through paintings, stories and poems. We are hopeful that this material will be helpful in setting up exhibitions and will further inspire young minds to explore the true modern meaning of Satya and Ahimsa.
